Greetings, I am so honored to have ended the Favorite Chef Competition Group Finalist and Wild Card Finalist in 2nd Place. This was my first ever national competition, and people voted consistently for me every day to keep me in 2nd Place throughout the entire competition. Despite being introverted in my personal life, I love being a Personal Chef and Baker my passion isn't work. I also love my position in Higher Education, where I have the opportunity to help and provide a service to people.
Participating in the Favorite Chef competition required me to step out on faith and trust people on social media to vote for me daily. Family, friends, and even strangers from various communities supported me based on my genuine, direct, and honest self.The food photographs and posts I shared represented who I am as a person and on a plate.
I want to express my gratitude to all my supporters from Illinois, Nassau County, my family, friends, and even friends of friends and followers that I don't know. Lastly, I am thankful for my Market Family of Mariah Markets for all the support and votes that kept me in the race. While I didn't make it to the final 2 rounds to win the prize, I feel like I have gained so much more - support, encouragement, and recognition from people all over who voted for me and know my name and what I represent. The best unexpected prize ever is what I received.
